Our top seller! The Okanese Poplar was developed by Bill Schroeder, a tree improvement scientist who spent 35 years at the Indian Head PFRA Nursery. This tree is unmatched in popularity.
An excellent choice for shelter and fast privacy. Growth expectations can vary, but on average, this tree grows about 4 feet each season. Tolerates a wide variety of soil conditions. Extremely cold hardy.
This easy-to-grow tree is bred for pest and disease resistance. Also a densely canopied, visually pleasing tree; it does not produce any fluff in the spring to aggravate allergies.
Because they grow so fast, adding a drip system or watering frequently will help them reach their seasonal growth potential. If you give them what they require, they will outperform for you!
Seedling size is approximately 12” tall, 1 year old.
