Seedling Delivery Information
  • We begin shipping Mid April and into earlier May, times can vary depending on the years total order volume.
  • All parcels ship Canada Post expedited services to your Mailing address. You will receive a delivery notice inside your mailbox for post office pick-up. No box will weigh more than 50lbs.
  • If you have provided us with a physical address as opposed to a mailing address, please contact us to change that information before shipping. We will no longer be responsible for extra shipping charges or plant loss due to an incorrect mailing address provided.
  • We will inform you via email when your parcel ships. Please check your junk folder should the notification land there. Alternatively; add us to your trusted senders list: trees@prairieshelterbeltprogram.ca
  • We can provide a tracking number to you anytime after your parcel is checked in at Canada Post. Reply to the shipment email requesting it and it will made available to you immediately.
  • Trees will be shipped as dormant as possible. It can take a week or two for them to come out of dormancy. Bare root items come dry root. Plug material is dipped in water and wrapped.
  • There will be planting instructions included with your parcel for helpful guidance, as well as posted on this site under the tab ‘planting instructions’.
  • If you can’t plant your seedlings right away, don’t panic; place them in a cool, dry location like a garage floor ( open box and sprinkle with water); they can easily sit for two weeks.
  • Please refer to your packing slip notes about your order should you have questions. If you need to contact us during shipping season email is always the fastest method as we have all hands on deck for shipping. trees@prairieshelterbeltprogram.ca
