The Saskatoon Berry Pie favourite! With its larger fruit size and mid July harvest, this berry has been a long-time favourite that’s been growing across the prairies for over 50 years. These richly flavoured berries are packed with flavour and antioxidants.
Popularly used for U-picks and commercial production. Seedlings will produce fruit around three to five years of age. This shrub prefers well drained soils.
Northline was developed by John Wallace at Beaverlodge Nursery in Beaverlodge, Alberta during the 1950s. The fragrant showy flowers add aesthetic & charm to the bush, along with fall ornamental value with their bright orange leaves.
